The Princess of Pumpkin Palace

Pumpkin Palace is very peculiar to the other palaces on the snobby Plenty of Palaces Lane.

It doesn’t have a huge, glistening water fountain out the front like The Posh Peacock Palace, or a garden full of cute, fluffy flamingos like The Pretty Pink Palace.

Instead, there’s always a low grey mist that hangs over Pumpkin Palace while an old, scrawny crow guards its unkept grounds.

But what really is it about Pumpkin Palace that makes it peculiar to the other palaces on Plenty of Palaces Lane?

Is it the tatty, skull-patterned curtains that are always closed? Or the cobwebs full of creepy-crawlies that wrap around the outside of the palace?
